Event production in London is a logistics problem before it is a creative one. Every venue in the capital comes with a get-in window, a loading bay or a lack of one, a lift with a weight limit, a house AV team with their own rules, and a strike deadline that is usually stricter than the get-in. The difference between a smooth event and a stressful one is almost always decided at the site visit, weeks before the kit arrives.

The venues we work in most often each have their own pattern. City livery halls and heritage venues such as the [Old Royal Naval College](https://www.ornc.org) and Queen's House in Greenwich have protective-floor rules, listed-building cabling restrictions and short evening windows. Hotels like The Savoy, The Ned and Haymarket Hotel have in-house AV partners whose kit we complement rather than replace, and freight lifts that decide how big a truss section can be. Venues such as The Brewery and One Marylebone are built for production and let you plan around proper rigging points and power. Sky Garden and Tower Bridge are extraordinary rooms with tightly managed access, dusk timings and security clearance for crew. Museums in South Kensington add conservation conditions on top of all of that. We plan against those constraints first, then design.

Practically, London also means congestion charging, ULEZ-compliant vehicles, a parking plan for every vehicle on site, and crews who know which loading bay closes at 6 pm. None of it is glamorous, and all of it is in our quote because leaving it out is how events go wrong.

The fastest route to a proper proposal is the venue name and room, the date and the get-in and get-out times the venue has given you, the guest count and format (seated, standing, or both), a running order even if it is rough, and anything the venue has told you about power, rigging or house AV. If a band or DJ has a technical rider, forward it exactly as received. For a 200-guest corporate dinner with a keynote and awards in a central hotel, a typical day runs: crew call and loading bay at 1 pm, rig built and powered by 4 pm, sound and lighting checks and presenter rehearsal 4 to 5.30 pm, doors 6.30 pm, keynote 7.30 pm, dinner service 8 pm, awards 9.30 pm, DJ from 10.15 pm, last song 11.45 pm, strike complete by 1.30 am.
